The Lingerie Handbook by Rebecca Apsan and Sarah Stark
I recently received this book as a gift from Merit, the owner of my favorite lingerie store Night and Day Lingerie in Andover, MA. It was a very fitting (so to speak) present and one I have been reading regularly. I have always been a big believer in having beautiful as well as functional undergarments and know that many women feel totally lost when it comes to all the subtleties of lingerie. Rebecca Apsan and Sarah Stark talk about everything from how to choose the proper undergarments for a particular outfit (yes, it makes a difference), to shapewear (so much more comfortable and functional than a few years ago), to finding the proper bra size (85% of women are wearing an ill-fitting bra). This book is a fabulous guide to lingerie, and it is lovely to look at as well.

Plus Style by Suzan Nanfeldt
Practical, personal and easy to use, Plus Style is an indispensible guide to looking and feeling great for the millions of plus-size women who now demand fashion as well as fit. Suzan Nanfeldt is a leading consultant on plus-size fashions. With an informative blend of upbeat text and attractive illustrations, she highlights the basic body types and shows how to turn well-chosen clothes into a signature style using color and accessories.

The Rough Guide to Shopping with a Conscience by Duncan Clark & Richie Unterberger
I picked it up at a bookstore in Rockport and couldn’t put it down until I had read the entire thing. Tons of very useful information on everything from clothing to food to fair trade to travel, etc.

Me and my color palette hit the road yesterday! It was an amazing experience. No matter what I tried on…everything looked phenomenal. And, I wearing the orange lip color you recommended. It went with everything, no matter what the color! As I tried on each item and looked in the dressing room mirror, all I could say was ‘OH, my-god!’ Gerri Travali
